A number of Point of Sale (POS) systems use Tyro's program, the
Tyro Terminal Adapter, to communicate with the Tyro EFTPOS machines. If your POS uses this integration method you will need to download and install the TTA where the POS software is installed.
Prerequisites
Your POS must be running on a system that uses one of the supported Windows operating systems
listed below.
Steps
- Go to https://tyro.com/tta. This should automatically download the Tyro Terminal Adapter software
- When the download is complete, a window should pop up asking if you want to save or run the program, and you need to select Run
- During installation leave the default as it is and simply continue to complete the setup. If installed successfully, the Tyro Terminal Adapter will appear in the Windows Control Panel
Note: If your computer is not letting you install the Tyro Terminal Adapter or requires Administrator access, please reach out to your IT support to help install the software.
Outcome
Once you have installed the software you will need to pair your Tyro EFTPOS machine with this program.
